Scott Adkins is keeping his ‘dance-card’ full with a full range of projects. After this month’s ‘Doctor Strange‘, watch out for him in December’s ‘Eliminators‘… He exclusively tells Impact how he’s happy to be heading back to the UK for his action duties…
While we wait for the release of the fourth film in the Undisputed series and the return of his most popular character Yuri Boyka, British martial arts hero Scott Adkins continues to keep us entertained as he hits the big screen in Marvel‘s Doctor Strange later this month, and December’s small screen release of Eliminators on November 22 (for Digital and then December 6 for DVD and Blu-Ray) . The film has Adkins reuniting with his Green Street 3 director James Nunn, to do battle with former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett in a UK set action thriller.
The premise: When his new identity is blown in London, a former Federal Agent (Scott Adkins) is forced to abandon all hopes of a quiet life with the Witness Protection Program to protect his daughter. With the criminal underworld now aware of his true identity, he must go on the run with Europe’s most deadly assassin in hot pursuit. The streets of London become a bloody battleground…
“I’m happy to be back in action in the UK in a fully-fledged British action movie! It’s something that we don’t make enough of, but I’m working to change that!” Adkins exclusively told Impact. “It was great to work with my friend James Nunn from Green Street 3 once more and I really enjoyed working with Wade Barrett (or Stu Bennett as he’s also known! You can expect some great fight sequences between the two of us, the films fight sequences were choreographed by the great Tim Mann who also provided the action for Ninja – Shadow of a Tear and the upcoming Undisputed 4!”
“It’s always a pleasure to work in the UK, although its kind of funny as I am playing an American hero with an accent being chased by a British bad guy!” he continues. “I plan on bringing many more action movies to this fine country if they let me!’
Adkins has a full dance card with a number of recently completed projects including the highly anticipated Undisputed 4 and Jesse Johnson’s Savage Dog (which pits Adkins against Marko Zaror and Cung Le!) It’s likely that battling Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange will also raise Scott’s profile even higher with mainstream audiences. Stu Bennett/Wade Barrett will soon be seen battling Britkicker Gary Daniels and Bryan Larkin in Ross Boyask’s action thriller Vengeance!
