No ‘F8’ but what you make it? The freewheeling franchise turns the tables on its crew as Vin Diesel turns on his friends in ‘The Fate of the Furious‘?
The franchise isn’t known for being subtle, but the trailer for what is being touted as the ‘final’ Fast and Furious movie certainly ramps up the suspension of disbelief and puts its pedal to the metal in its ambition. Leaving no wheel un-turned and axel un-strained, it tells a story of fast friendship and fast cars pushed to the maximum as Vin Disel’s Dominic Toretto appears to betray every member of his team as he comes under the thrallof Charlize Thereon’s mysterious ‘Cipher’.
Add to the mix the return of familiar faces such as Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw and the ever watchable Helen Mirren, plus enough stunts to keep a team busy for months and you have The Fate of the Furious (F8, surely?)
Directed by F. Gary Gray, it arrives in cinemas in April.
