There’s some big names attached to the upcoming ‘Paradox‘ but also some newer faces to wach out for including a certain real-life former Marine named Chris Collins…
While many people assumed the project to be SPL 3: A Time of Fate, the new Wilson Yip movie – currently shooting in Hong Kong and Thailand – is something very different. The project, entitled Paradox, stars Tony Jaa, Louis Koo, Wu Yue, Gordon Lam, Len Low and Chris Collins, with Soi Cheang and Paco Wong producing… and the legendary Sammo Hung handling the film’s fight and stunt choreography.
The film is a Taken‘esque thriller which also samples elements of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Pound of Flesh, with Louis Koo on the trail of his 16 year old daughter who vanished on a trip to Thailand. Koo arrives in Bangkok and – with the help of Tony Jaa and Wu Yue – he uncovers an underworld black market organ trading cartel controlled by a former US Marine gone bad, played by Chris Collins.
While Louis Ko may not be best known for his screen fighting skills, he’s proven his credentials in action-movie making various times over the years, and with Wu Yue and Ong Bak’s legendary Thai action hero Tony Jaa there’s not gonna be a shortage of martial arts and fight action – especially with the film’s main villain being played by a real life former US Marine and martial arts and combat expert Chris Collins. His fighting arts background includes Wing Chun, Jujitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Kali and more… and while Collins has worked as a military consultant and trainer on such projects as The White Storm, Wolf Warrior and Helios, Paradox marks his biggest acting and screen fighting opportunity to date.
Here’s a sampler of what he can do…
